The exhibition had already been planned, but then the painter died unexpectedly. Last September came the news that Max Dauphin, at only 47 years old, had not survived the consequences of an accident in southern France. He leaves behind a wife and two young children. The family decided, however, to go ahead with the exhibition date. Kerstin Thalau visited the Reuter-Bausch Gallery and learned from Catherine Dauphin-Decker why, especially now, this is so important to her.
