Chantal Maquet is a multidisciplinary artist with a strong focus on painting.
She started her artistic research revolving around female role clichés and their disruption. She
continues to critically explore the social dynamics that underlie individual and collective behaviour
patterns.
In her figurative work, colours are disconnected from reality and uncommon combinations
emphasise atmospheres, changing the perception of a depicted scene altogether. The doubt that
the pleasant first impression cannot be trusted is underlined by titles giving a poetic frame to the
works.
In her shows Chantal Maquet combines painting with video and interactive sound-installations.

In 2022 Chantal Maquet received the Pierre Werner award.

Max Dauphin was born 1977 in Luxembourg. After several years of international activity, the artist settled in Luxembourg, where he works and lives.

Max Dauphin creates figurative art works, using mixed techniques and big formats. His paintings frequently reveal scenes of life illustrated with slogans and/or iconography. His subjects are inspired by his experience, current events and more generally his entourage. The combination of colors and material highlights the playfulness of his characters and emphasizes the dynamism of his subjects.
