Born in 1999 in Luxembourg, Pit Riewer lives and works in Luxembourg. His work often centers around moments that explore both real and constructed spaces, created by combining industrial objects as compositional elements with other figurative forms. These moments—at once alienating and familiar—are conveyed through the simplification and abstraction of forms, as well as experimentation with various finishes to create depth.

Partially figurative and sometimes cropped, his images are simplified through a layering process and the use of diverse materials and painting techniques, including gouache, acrylic, watercolor, oil paint, and screen printing. Drawing from both expressionism and a personal interest in abstract expressionism, his practice explores repetition and a systematic approach to painting—reducing gestures and flat spaces into fields of color and compositional elements.
